I was listening to someone the other day who was bemoaning the fact that neither prezzie candidate claimed to have a plan to fight poverty (or famine, or disease or whatever). I thought, "He may have a point there... they didn't lie to us about that, at least!"
I think the election was an endorsement of the Democrat Party's exception to gun control, which is that they are allowed to shoot themselves in the foot. Their choice of Kerry reminded me of the Republicans putting up Bill Simon against Gray Davis. I mean, style points for pulling defeat out the jaws of victory and all, but really...
